You’ll immediately lose (bust) if your total exceeds twenty-one. Otherwise, you’ll wait until the end of your turn to see the dealer’s down card. You win if the dealer busts with a total of twenty-two or higher!

At the end of the round, the two hands are compared. The one with the higher total wins. If the score is tied, you’ll get your bet back.

Betting Options

The player has several betting options available. They influence the player’s hand but also impact betting.

• Stand – This option is always available. If chosen, it ends the player’s turn.
• Hit – It’s another option that’s always available. The player receives another card, and it remains the player’s turn to choose a move.
• Double – Doubling is possible only when the player has two cards in his hand. It adds another card to it and requires doubling the bet size. Choosing this option ends the player’s turn.
• Split – Available only if the two cards are of the same value. Splitting creates two new hands, adding an extra wager for the second hand. The wager is equal to the size of the starting one.

Other Important Rules

• The game uses standard 52-card decks, shuffled after each hand.

• The player can double with any two cards.
• When splitting aces, the player can only draw one card for each new hand.
