Midnight Marauder Clusterbreaker Visuals

If you played the original 2022 release, you’ll find the new release sticks to the same visual style. The thief still looks a bit goofy with his eggplant-shaped head, but it gives the slot an instantly recognizable design. The backdrop is a lavish, high-class room, while the reels are designed to resemble a big safe. Triggering one of the features moves you into a vault, where all kinds of valuable loot have been stashed.

Available symbols include gemstones, cash, cologne, rings and purses. A golden W is the Wild symbol, while gold bars with the word Bonus on top are a special symbol that only appears when you purchase one of the Supercharge features.

Midnight Marauder Clusterbreaker Gameplay and Features

You play this Relax Gaming title on a 4×4 grid with cluster pays and the Tumble feature active. Cluster pays form wins when you get five or more matching symbols directly adjacent to each other. Meanwhile, Tumbles ensures that every reel spin removes winning symbols, making room for new ones to drop from the top, potentially leading to multiple payouts during one spin.

Clusterbreaker

The bread and butter of this slot, and what sets it apart from its predecessor, is the Clusterbreaker feature. Every symbol on the reels can split into two, three, or even four matching icons. Combined with Tumbles and cluster pays, this can result in some jaw-dropping payouts before you unlock any other bonuses. Icons that appear as part of Tumbles can also be broken into smaller symbols.

Brute Force

Every winning symbol is collected and added to the Smash ‘N’ Grab Free Spins meter. There are three stages to the meter, unlocked by collecting enough symbols.

• Collecting 20 icons causes between 5 and 8 unbroken symbols to split into smaller icons.
• Collecting 40 symbols causes all remaining unbroken icons to break into smaller symbols.
• Collecting 60 icons activates the Smash ‘N’ Grab Free Spins feature.

Smash ‘N’ Grab Free Spins

The feature begins with 8 free spins and an 8x baseline multiplier. Before you play the bonus round, you can choose to gamble for more spins and a higher multiplier. Successful gambles add one extra free spin to your total and double the baseline multiplier. This can increase your baseline multiplier to 256x and your total free spins to 13. Losing the gamble means the Free Spins feature ends before a single round is played.

Every win during the Smash ‘N’ Grab Free Spins doubles the multiplier temporarily, letting it climb up to 1,024x your stake. When the spin ends, the multiplier returns to its baseline level. The meter is still active, allowing you to break symbols apart and even retrigger free spins.

Coin Caper

The Coin Caper bonus triggers when five coins land anywhere on the reels. Triggering coins will lock in place and receive random cash prizes. You’re moved to a separate set of reels where only coins, Mr Midnight, and blank spaces can appear. You’re given three re-spins to start the bonus, and the number resets whenever a new coin lands.

If five or more coins form a cluster, all coins and their values are absorbed into a single coin, with their values added together. Each time this happens, the multiplier doubles, reaching up to 1,024x.

The Clusterbreaker feature is still active, so it is possible for the unified coins to be broken into multiple symbols again. Watch out for the Mr Midnight icon, as it will select a random number of coins and break them into smaller symbols. Clusterbroken coins keep the same value as the original coin.

Enhanced Spins and Supercharge

Relax Gaming allows players to pay extra to boost their odds of activating certain features. Enhanced Spins doubles your base bet but makes you far more likely to trigger the Smash ‘N’ Grab Free Spins.

Alternatively, you can use the Supercharge bonus to buy features outright. Players can activate the following features:

• Bonus Reels removes all regular symbols, leaving behind only Bonus icons. Costs 10x your stake.
• Coin Caper activates the same-named feature we described earlier. Costs 80x your bet.
