One of the most appealing parts of blackjack is how consistent it is. Players following the basic blackjack strategy benefit from one of the highest RTPs available in online casinos. However, getting to the point where you know the strategy by heart takes a lot of practice.
Fortunately, Evolution’s latest live casino blackjack table makes the process a little easier. Always 6 Blackjack makes one change, though it is significant enough to shake up how you play the game. As its name implies, the dealer’s visible card is always a six. Because of that, you can more easily follow the basic blackjack strategy.
Always 6 Blackjack Gameplay
If you’ve played any form of blackjack before, this Evolution variant will be immediately familiar. The core gameplay loop remains the same. Your goal is to get exactly 21 with your first two cards to get the blackjack win. If that fails, just having a total better than the dealer is enough to score a regular payout.
At the start of the round, you’ll be dealt two cards and offered to Hit, Stand, Split, or Double. Once you decide to Stand, you cannot draw any more cards. The host will then reveal their second card. If needed, they will draw more until they have a soft 17 or higher. Once both you and the dealer are Standing, the game will compare your hands.
If either your score or the dealer’s score exceeds 21, it is an automatic loss. Otherwise, the side closest to 21 will win the round. The next round begins after a few seconds.

Always 6 Blackjack Side Bets
There are two side bets you can play in Always 6 Blackjack: Perfect Pair and Lucky Ladies.
Perfect Pair requires your first two cards to form a pair at the start of the round. Depending on the type of pair, you will get a better reward.
- Mixed Pairs have matching cards but different colours and suits.
- Coloured Pairs have matching cards and colours, but different suits.
- Perfect Pairs have matching cards, colours, and suits.
Lucky Ladies requires players to have at least one Queen card in their initial hand or for the two cards to add up to twenty. The side bet has six winning combinations:
- Any Queen – one of the two cards is a Queen. (♦Q, ♥2)
- One Queen of Hearts – one of the two cards is a Queen of Hearts. (♥Q, ♣2)
- Any 20 – two cards whose total adds up to 20. (♥10, ♦J)
- Suited 20 – two cards with matching suits whose total adds up to 20. (♥10, ♥J)
- Two Queens – two Queen cards with different suits. (♣Q, ♦Q)
- Queen of Hearts Pair – two Queen of Hearts cards. (♥Q, ♥Q)
Always 6 Blackjack RTP and Payouts
The RTP for Always 6 Blackjack is 99.34%, which blows most casino games out of the water. However, that impressive RTP is only available if you follow the basic blackjack strategy. The RTP for the side bets is much lower. Perfect Pair has an RTP of 93.89%, while the RTP for Lucky Ladies is 91.42%.
To balance always having a six as the visible card, the payout for winning the main bet has been reduced. All other payouts remain the same.
