Most companies start with big dreams of revolutionising the world of finance. However, that’s not the case for ComGate. The company’s first step into payments came a few years after it was founded by launching a billing service to resolve transactions via SMS.
The project was a huge success, forever altering ComGate and setting it on the course of becoming the Central European financial giant it is today.
What is ComGate?
ComGate is an online payment gateway that supports over 50 banking options. It acts as an intermediary, allowing you to send and receive funds with credit and debit cards, e-wallets, or bank accounts. That includes many local payment methods, great news for people using the service. The company exclusively operated in Czechia at first but later expanded into Poland and Slovakia. Despite only being limited to those three countries, ComGate also supports several currencies. ComGate can be used for online gambling
ComGate Account
Most payment gateways do not require their users to register an account, and ComGate is no exception. That said, you will need an account with the payment method you want to use.
Company
ComGate started as early as 2000 under a different name: AGMO. The company’s first years were spent developing applications for businesses and mobile marketing. From 2002 onwards, AGMO became ComGate and began expanding its business in new directions.
In 2003, the company launched its Premium SMS billing service. The project took off immediately, resulting in ComGate hiring a new division just to keep up with payment services. At that point, the business reorientated into the financial company we know today.
