The Greatest Cards Show by Playtech: Full Review

Playtech brings a new live dealer game titled The Greatest Card Show. At first glance, it resembles travelling fairs and promises an entertaining playing experience, with a 54-segment wheel being the game’s main protagonist.

The wheel’s segments are filled with playing cards and Jokers, and together they offer a broad range of cash prizes, starting with 40x the triggering stake. But that’s not all, as two Joker segments provide access to RNG bonus rounds.

With Lady Luck on your side, you can claim the maximum multiplier of 5,000x, while Joker segments can increase multipliers by up to eight times.

Playing the Game

After the game begins, players will have to place their bets on the grid. There are several ways to place a bet. Here are your options:

• You can wager on particular numbers. Since you can cover each suit, it takes four units to cover a single number.
• Choose a range of numbers.
• Place bets on individual cards.

After betting ends, a curtain will open to reveal between three and twelve cards. The playing cards are chosen randomly and appear bordered in Gold or Silver. The gold-bordered cards are used for the Lightshow Bonus, while the silver-bordered ones are for the Spotlight Bonus.

It’s time for the dealer to spin the wheel. The wheel is spun from the position of the last winning number and must be in the opposite direction from the previous spin. Here are the available outcomes:

• If the wheel stops on the card you bet on, you’ll receive a payout of 40x the stake!
• You’ll lose if the wheel stops on the segment you didn’t bet on.
• Landing on the silver-bordered card activates the Spotlight Bonus.
• Landing on the gold-bordered card unlocks the Lightshow Bonus.
• If the result is a Joker card, you’ll get another spin to decide who’ll enter the corresponding Bonus Game.

The Greatest Cards Show: Bonus Rounds

Playtech game show features three bonus rounds, and to gain access to each of them, you’ll need to place a qualifying bet. Otherwise, you can only enjoy them as a spectator.

The Spotlight Bonus

After selecting a silver-bordered card on the big wheel, this bonus round is activated. Having an active bet on the card is your ticket to the game, where you can win anywhere from 50x to 2,000x the stake. If you don’t take part in it, you can only watch it and wait for it to finish.

Once the bonus starts, you’ll see three spotlights appear in the middle of the screen. Each of them will feature a randomly assigned multiplier. The winning card then appears and moves to one of the spotlights. The card will stop to determine the multiplier win, with all eligible players receiving the corresponding payout.

The Light Show Bonus

To trigger the Light Show Bonus, land the big wheel on a gold-bordered card. You’ll also receive a payout ranging from 50x to 5,000x the stake. First, you’ll have to choose one of three lightbulbs, green, yellow, or blue. Once the bonus begins, you’ll see a grid made up of twenty lights, each containing a random multiplier.

The layout is the same for each colour, with a light beam bouncing around and choosing a multiplier for all three colours.

The Jokers Bonus

The Joker wheel segment functions as a bonus round and can boost multipliers in the bonus round. The second Joker doubles the multiplier, the third boosts it by 4x, and the fourth by 8x. Every subsequent Joker doubles the size of the multiplier.

This bonus round is the longest, so prepare to wait a bit.

Essentially, it’s a battle between the four card suits, offering three multiplier prizes. Players choose the cards they want to back, with three duelling rounds available. It’s where the cards will battle to determine the winner.

After two cards start a duel, the losing one will drop the ball. Another fight takes place, moving on to the final round. The winner is the card that pulls a rabbit from the hit, taking with it the first prize. The runner-up claims the second prize, while the remaining cards win the third place.

In the end, players receive the multiplier for the card they choose at the round’s start.
