As the barrier to making casino games lower, we are starting to see developers from all across the world. They help bring different perspectives and new cultures to the market, adding to the variety of available titles. Gamshy is another of these new developers from a region not often mentioned in iGaming: Italy!
The studio is based in Rome and works hard to deliver the best slots it can produce. By combining traditional slot mechanics with fun new additions, they make releases you cannot get elsewhere.
The team sticks hard to the mantra of quality over quantity. Gamshy has only launched a couple of slots since its inception. However, each one has been charming in its special way.
About Gamshy
Despite being a newcomer, Gamshy has not let that stop them from producing the best releases possible. From the get-go, their art team has punched well above their weight. In many ways, these outstanding visual and audio effects drew the attention of players to this developer. Of course, good visuals only go so far. The team also works hard to produce interesting and engaging gameplay, as well. All their releases are available on both PC and mobile, thanks to HTML5.
One area where the team being new does show is in the number of games. At the time of our review, Gamshy only features ten titles. The team only produces slots: no table games or other casino releases in sight.
Games Portfolio and Features
The first release by this software provider that caught our eye was Tubolarium. The core is a standard five-reel, four-row slot. However, a set of tubes also appear every time you spin the reels. The layout of said tubes is random with each round. Liquid flows from the two center cells on the left side of the grid. It spreads to all positions where the tubes are connected with a matching pipe orientation. These tubes are used instead of traditional pay lines to award wins. It is a unique system and one we had a blast playing with!
If you prefer more traditional slots, Gamshy offers Jumping Sushi. This title draws obvious inspiration from Japanese culture, food, and architecture. The game is played on a five-reel, three-row board with twenty-seven paylines. Wilds can substitute for any symbol except for Scatters. Meanwhile, Scatters unlock a cash prize and free spins. We played this type of game thousands of times before. Even so, the medium variance and 96.59% above-average RTP help keep it interesting!
