Nolimit City Seeks Revenge in True Grit Redemption

One of the well-established names in online gambling, Nolimit City, has become known for the diversity of the themes its developers use when creating slot games. From Irish hills and lush jungles to Ancient Egypt to gunfights in El Paso, there’s something for everyone.

The gaming studio has wrapped up 2021 with the launch of another Wild West-themed release. Titled True Grit Redemption, the game promises an action-packed adventure filled with excitement, epic showdowns and numerous chances of scooping cash. Players will enter a dangerous world, where heroes can easily lose, and bad guys are only a shot away from riding off in the sunset.

Nolimit City has already proven they can deliver a fantastic Western slot, and True Grit Redemption shows they are the masters of the genre. Let’s see what’s in store for us.

Wild West Awaits

Before the adventure starts, you should pick your bet. You can wager any amount from $0.20 to $100 per spin, but be careful as this is a highly volatile release rated ten out of ten. When it comes to the RTP, the default value is 96.11%, although purchasing Free Sins changes it.

The grid layout resembles Megaways, but that’s not the case. The top reel can only hold character symbols or Wilds, while the main six-reel playing area is the home to all regular icons, Wilds, Scatters and Grit Girl symbols. Only special symbols appear on the locked areas of the grid. They open when Scatters land, with the bottom right position exclusively reserved for a sticky wild multiplier active during the Dead Spins round.

True Grit Redemption pays left to right, with matching symbols landing in adjacent reels forming winning combinations. The default number of ways to win is 240, increasing when positions are unlocked and icons split. Every time a win is created, a cascade feature is activated. The cascades remove winning icons, with new ones filling the empty spots.

Playing cards are at the bottom of the paytable, paying 0.75x the bet for six of a kind. The Grit Girl is the game’s highest-paying symbol, landing on reels 1, 2, 3, and 4. Get four of them to receive a payout of 500x your stake!

An Abundance of Features

The Nolimit City title is packed with exciting and potentially very lucrative features.

Whenever symbols on the top reel match the ones underneath it, they’ll both turn into Wilds. This is called xWild Transform.

xNudge Wild is a stacked Wild present on the bottom reel. It will always nudge to become fully in view. Nudging will increase its multiplier by one for every position. Although not used in wins, it can be very helpful in boosting the size of the win multiplier.

xWays appear anywhere except on the top reel. On the other hand, Infectious xWays will land only on the bottom positions. xWays transform into several instances of a regular pay symbol (typically two to three), increasing the number of ways to win. Infectious xWays always reveal two symbols, expanding other instances to the same size.

The Reel Split symbol makes its appearance on the bottom reel only, doubling all icons above it. After that, it will disappear, with the remaining symbols filling in the empty positions. Reels can split up to two times, while the Grit Girl only doubles its multiplier.

The Transform ‘Em symbol can also land on the bottom reel only. Whenever this happens, all low-paying icons turn into a symbol of the same kind. However, this doesn’t affect any icons on the top reel.

Landing 1, 2, 3, or 4 Scatters unlocks up to ten locked positions on the main grid. At least three Scatters are needed to trigger the Free Spins round. Players receive eight spins, plus one spin for each split Scatter. Unlocked positions stay unlocked until the feature ends. Landing fourth Scatter will see Dead Spins activated and add two more spins to the count.

Slot lovers get ten Dead Spins and one Scatter for each split part. A sticky wild multiplier comes into play, while every subsequent cascade increases the multiplier by one.

You can also use the Nolimit Bonus menu to buy regular spins and Dead Spins for 69x and 669x the bet, respectively. There’s also the option to significantly increase your odds of getting both of these spins.
