Privé Lounge Blackjack, Pragmatic Play’s marquee live game, is richer with the Face Down Double Down and Split After Split features. As a result, the RTP on this decidedly single-player VIP experience receives a bump to 99.51%.
It’s hardly a secret that these changes target players with deeper pockets. High rollers tend to be notoriously picky about two things: absolute privacy and total control over the math. These new mechanics directly improve both.
New Features
Double Down and Split After Split are built strictly for the single-player VIP Blackjack format. Effectively, what they do is provide more room to maneuver when the cards tilt in your favor.
Face Down Double Down
From now on. when you decide to double your wager on a strong starting hand, the extra card doesn’t flip immediately but lands face down. It sits hidden on the felt while the dealer draws out their own hand.
A simple tweak, for sure, but one that fundamentally changes how a round feels. Rather than knowing your final total right away, you have to watch the dealer draw through their entire turn first. Likewise, you only turn over your card after evaluating whether the dealer stood on a vulnerable total or busted out completely. This keeps the tension alive until the very last possible second.

Split After Split
In standard live blackjack, getting dealt a pair of Eights or Aces lets you split once. But getting a third matching card on the draw usually leaves you stuck with a hit or a forced stand. Split After Split does away with that.
If an initial split produces another matching card, eligible hands can be split again into separate active bets. This provides more tactical freedom on how a round plays out.
Needless to say, it also allows you to capitalize on the dealer’s weakness. Namely, when a dealer shows a 4, 5, or 6 upcard, the optimal play is often to get as much money on the layout as legally allowed. Respliting lets you fully press that mathematical advantage.
June 2026 Updates
The timing of this upgrade couldn’t be more telling. It ties into a much larger structural shift behind the scenes in Gibraltar. In June 2026, and to the surprise of many, Pragmatic Play confirmed it would phase out its sportsbook and bingo operations after an internal strategic review. The supplier decided to reallocate its engineering and operational budgets straight to slots and live casino.
The Privé Lounge setup sits right at the top of that live casino push. It caters to players who prefer to avoid shared tables, slow decision-makers or public chat boxes. The format guarantees total privacy.
Players also get custom controls. You can request a fresh dealer on demand, ask for card reshuffles, or extend your private session for up to 90 minutes. Access is strictly for high rollers. Joining requires a minimum account balance of $6,000. Table stakes range from a $1,000 minimum up to $20,000 per hand.
How We Got Here
Pragmatic Play originally launched the Privé Lounge brand in late 2023, with early operator adopters rolling out the rooms to their top-tier customers.
The project started small with just five live blackjack tables. However, high demand across peak playing hours forced a quick expansion. In less than six months, the game went from five to ten tables by mid-2024.
Since then, the supplier has steadily used the Privé name as a testing ground for the higher end of its offering. The suite has expanded past classic cards to include private single-player editions of Baccarat, Roulette, Roulette Deluxe, and most recently, Russian Poker, which landed in July 2026.
