Millionaire Megapots Visuals
The visuals will feel familiar if you’ve played one of BTG’s earlier entries. The dark studio with purple highlights is one the team has used for all of their previous slots in the series. Guided by the familiar mantra of ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’, the developer instead focused on introducing new features.
Big Time Gaming separates its symbols into lower-value playing card royals and high-paying gems. BTG fans will find these designs immediately familiar, as the software provider has been using them since the Bonanza Megaways days. Spinning rainbow circles are Wilds, while Scatters are the Millionaire game show logo. There are also coin bonus icons, which are essential for the Hold and Spin feature.
Millionaire Megapots Gameplay and Features
You play the Millionaire Megapots slot on a 6-reel grid, where each reel can have up to seven symbols. There’s also the extra reel beneath the main playing area, adding an extra symbol for the second, third, fourth, and fifth reels. Winning requires three or more matching symbols in adjacent positions, following an active win way. The game can have up to 200,704 ways to win active simultaneously.

Reactions
After every win, participating symbols are removed from the grid. The icons above them will fall and take their place, while brand-new symbols appear from the top. Thanks to that, you can chain multiple wins together despite only paying for one spin.
Hold and Spin
Six or more coins anywhere on the grid will activate the Hold and Spin feature. You get three re-spins during which only blank spaces and coins can appear. Whenever a new coin appears, it becomes sticky and resets the number of available re-spins.
All coins appear with an attached cash prize, multiplier or Megapot symbol. When you run out of re-spins, all cash prizes are added together and multiplied by all visible multipliers. If you fill all positions with coins, your final reward will be doubled.
Megapots
There are three Megapots in this Big Time Gaming slot: Mini, Midi, and Mega. The game randomly determines the reward attached to each Megapot at the start of every spin. To win a Megapot, you need three coins with a matching Megapot symbol to appear during the Hold and Spin feature.
Free Spins
Land three or more Scatters to receive 10 free spins and access to the Hot Seat gamble bonus. Each successful gamble moves you one step up the ladder, while failing can mean losing the Free Spins bonus entirely. Rungs 2 and 7 on the ladder are safety nets, guaranteeing you’ll get 10 and 20 free spins, respectively.
Like in the actual Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game show, you can take advantage of three lifelines to help you reach the top. These are:
- 50:50 – removes two incorrect answers
- Phone a Friend – reveals the most likely answer
- Ask the Audience – shows the odds of each answer being right
After completing the Hot Seat gamble round, you move on to the actual free spins. During the bonus round, each coin that appears increases the win multiplier. Landing additional Scatters while playing free spins extends the feature.
Power Play and Bonus Buy
Power Play requires you to play 8x your standard wager per round to ensure at least 10,000 ways to win will appear. Alternatively, you can use the bonus buy feature to guarantee specific bonus rounds will trigger.
- Hold and Spin costs 65x your stake
- 12 Free Spins cost 125x your bet
- 20 Free Spins cost 250x your wager
