Following the success of the Deal Man’s Trail slot, Relax Gaming has recently launched a follow-up titled Dead Riders Trail. From the high seas, players are taken to the asphalt, although the goal has stayed the same: to find loot. The game is packed with features, from intricately designed Super Bonus Trail to exciting extras such as Free Spins, a Feature Wheel, and a bonus buy option.

Expect plenty of guns, skulls, flames, bullets, and cash, while visually, it appears that designers found the inspiration in games like GTA V.

The Adventure Begins

The action takes place on a six-reel, six-row grid populated with different symbols and block tiles. Dead Riders Trail pays left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, offering players up to 46,656 different ways to win.

After a win is formed, the triggering symbols are removed from the grid, together with adjacent block tiles. The remaining symbols drop onto the empty positions, possibly leading to new wins. The process will continue as long as new wins appear.

Clubs, spades, hearts, and diamonds serve as the slot’s low-value symbols, awarding wins of up to 0.8x the stake for six of a kind. On the other hand, four characters and the game logo are more generous and pay up to 2x the stake for the same amount of symbols. The Wild is also there, appearing on all reels save the leftmost one to replace other regulars.

Dead Riders Trail is a highly volatile release, playable across all platforms, with betting options ranging from as low as $0.10 to $20 per spin. The default return to player (RTP) is 96.20%, increasing to 96.50% when using the available feature buy options.

The Bonus Trail and Super Bonus Trail may be the game’s main selling point, but plenty of other in-game features are on offer.

Spin the Feature Wheel

Removing all stone block tiles in the Main Game awards a spin on the Feature Wheel. Players can use this wheel to claim up to seven spins and trigger the Bonus Trail or even the Super Bonus Trail.

But that’s not all, as any spins you win can be gambled to activate the Bonus Trail. Winning four spins provides a 33% chance of doing so while claiming seven spins increase these odds to 52%. A failed gamble forfeits all previous wins.

Free Spins

Some stone blocks appear with bombs attached to them during the Free Spins bonus round. Form wins near these blocks to activate the bomb and turn all symbols in a reel into the same type. Clearing a stone block adds three extra spins to the count.

Bonus Trail

During this feature, a player’s pawn may move up to six spaces on each turn. The meter starts with three fuel cans, removing one can whenever the pawn moves. Land on a position with a fuel can next to it to reset the fuel can meter. The feature is over once you run out of fuel cans or reach the win cap.

Players can claim a multiplier of up to 1,000x during this round while landing on a truck position triggers one of the Bonus trail features. Silver trucks award a feature, while golden trucks unlock the Collect All or persistent versions of these features.

• Sniper – between three and six tiles will see their values doubled.
• Payer – values of regular tiles increase by three or ten times.
• Two Knife – Between 50x and 200x are added to two-four randomly chosen tiles.
• Refuel – up to four fuel cans are placed on random tiles.
• Shoot Back – up to three tiles receive the total win value.
• Collect – collects the values of the nearest four regular tiles.
• Collect All – collects all regular tiles.
• Persistent Sniper – the Sniper feature is active on every subsequent turn.
• Persistent Payer – the Payer feature is active on every subsequent turn.
• Persistent Two Knife – the Two Knife feature is active on every subsequent turn.

Super Bonus Trail

Activating the super variant of the Bonus Trail feature will replace the silver truck at the starting point with a golden one.

Bonus Buy Features

The Bonus Buy option allows players to choose between three options. They can buy a spin on the Feature Wheel for 50x their stake or trigger the Bonus Trail or the Super Bonus Trail. The Bonus Trail costs 90x the bet, while 250x the bet activates its super version.
