About Stormcraft Studios

Stormcraft Studios was founded in South Africa in 2016 by a team of industry experts led by Terence Igesund, whose online gaming experience spans all the way back to 1996. Terence worked on the very first online slot game, Fantastic 7s, as well as monster hits Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Thunderstruck 1 and 2, Mega Moolah, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World.

In founding Stormcraft, Igesund, alongside a team of artists, software developers, mathematicians, and musicians, set about changing the face of the industry and upping the game in terms of delivering quality, immersive gameplay.

The first title released under the Stormcraft Studio umbrella was the steampunk-inspired Fortunium before the team turned to developing and enhancing some iGaming classics, such as their flagship Thunderstruck title. This led to Thunderstruck II being released on the Microgaming platform in May 2014, and with it, the industry saw the first-ever multi-bonus slot game that saved a player’s progression.

When Games Global bought Microgaming’s distribution business and game IP in 2021, Stormcraft Studios entered a new stage of innovation with the might of the iGaming giant behind them, taking the Thunderstruck saga in a new 3D direction with follow-up titles Thunderstruck Wild Lightning in 2021, and Thunderstruck Stormchaser at the end of 2022.
