What Are Megaquads Slots and How They Work?

Over the last couple of years, we’ve witnessed rapid development in online gambling, especially when it comes to video slots.

Producers of online casino software launched many new innovative solutions that have since their inception become extremely popular with slot lovers around the world.

The list of exciting features added to slot offering during recent years includes such game mechanics as Megaways, Cluster Pays, and Infinity Reela. Another new one, with colossal potential, was conceived by Big Time Gaming and is known as Megaquads.

In this article, we’re going to provide a detailed explanation of this exciting game engine and allow you to find out what makes this game engine so unique.

Let’s Start from the Beginning

The first game that features Megaquads was Slot Vegas Megaquads, which appeared like a chaotic combination of reels at first.

However, understanding the way it works is relatively simple. The Main Game consists of four sets of four-by-four reel sets, which all spin at the same time. Since individual reel set has 256 ways to win, players have a total of 1,024 ways to win on each round.

Winning combinations are created when symbols of the same kind appear in adjacent reels.

Four reel sets already make Megaquads impressive, but there’s even more to it as two reel sets can merge to forming a massive 8×4 grid. This increases the number of ways to win to a staggering 65,536!

The creators of this fantastic game mechanics made sure players were entertained continuously. Triggering the Free Spins round will bring two sets of 8×4 grids with each of these reels having 4,096 ways to win. Land a Wild symbol on both of them simultaneously to merge two reels into a giant one featuring an eight-by-eight layout with a fantastic 16,777,216 ways to win!

Punters can look forward to excellent payouts, as win multipliers and other modifiers offer their help.
