Nolimit City is never one to settle for a safe theme. Fortunately, their latest venture isn’t taking us to a mental asylum or a maximum security prison. It’s just a whole lot of booze, tasty food, and rifles for hunting ducks. There’s no way this can go wrong, but if you ask us, we’d recommend having an exit strategy. After all, there’s a guy with a duck mask running around, and that’s a tragedy just waiting to happen.
In short, Duck Hunters: Happy Hour looks like it’ll keep us on our toes for its entire runtime. Will it live up to our high expectations? Find out in our in-depth review of this Nolimit City slot.
Duck Hunters: Happy Hour Visuals
The latest target to get poked by the developer’s satirical take is the Americans. If the empty cans of Bud Light didn’t tip you off, the American flag hanging on the wooden wall certainly will. Nolimit City uses the backdrop to set expectations early. There’s plenty of booze and food out already, while empty bottles line the walls. Off to the side, you can see a rifle resting against the wall.
Available symbols in Duck Hunters: Happy Hour are varied, featuring drinks, eggs, rednecks, and guys wearing duck masks. However, our hands-down favourite is the drunk duck holding a can of Bud Light, showing that no one is immune to the power of the happy hour. The Bonus Hunting sign is the Scatter, while the word Wild is the Wild symbol.
Duck Hunters: Happy Hour Gameplay and Features
This Nolimit City slot has a 6-reel grid in a 4-5-6-6-5-4 layout. It grants wins using cluster pays, which requires eight or more matching symbols in adjacent positions.
Cascading Reels with Multipliers
After every win, symbols that were part of the winning combination are removed from the grid. When that happens, a 2x multiplier is applied to each position where it occurred. The existing icons will drop down to fill these spots again, while brand-new ones appear from the top.
If a new win occurs on a spot marked with a 2x multiplier, the reward will be doubled. Additionally, the multiplier value will double again, meaning each subsequent win will ramp in intensity. The maximum multiplier for a single win position is 8,192x.

xWays and Infectious xWays
When an xWays symbol lands, it will transform into a random paying icon and increase its position’s multiplier by up to 8x. If it’s an Infectious xWays symbol, it will apply its multiplier to all other matching icons on the grid.
Bomb Feature
The Bomb feature appears at random, removing all paying symbols adjacent to its position. After exploding, it will reveal a higher-value paying icon, Wild, an Infectious xWays symbol, or another bomb. Each bomb explosion also doubles the multipliers in adjacent positions.
Free Spins
Nolimit City’s slot has three tiers of free spins, depending on how many Scatters land on the reels.
- 3 Scatters award 7 Duck Hunt Spins with one random upgrade active.
- 4 Scatters grant 8 Hawk Eye Spins with two random upgrades active.
- 5 Scatters unlock 10 Big Game Spins with all three random upgrades active.
Position multipliers do not reset between free spins, increasing your chances of winning big. You can also get more free spins by landing an Extra +1 Shot symbol.
Available upgrades in Duck Hunters: Happy Hour include:
- Upgraded Bomb: Behaves like a regular bomb symbol but never reveals paying symbols.
- Upgraded xWays: All xWays icons are replaced by Infectious xWays.
- Extra +2 Shots: Replaces the Extra +1 Shot symbol with the Extra +2 Shots.
Nolimit Booster
While you can be patient and trigger all these bonuses manually, Nolimit City lets you skip ahead if you have money to spend. You can buy the following bonuses using the Nolimit Booster feature.
