Cygnus 2 by ELK Studios Unlocks New Galactic Mysteries

In 2019, ELK Studios launched a slot game titled Cygnus. Named after a constellation, this release debuted the developer’s Gravity game engine and became a valuable addition to the studio’s portfolio. Once again, it’s time to stare at the night stake in the sequel to the original slot, aptly named Cygnus 2. Master the Knowledge of Free Fall

One of the first things you’ll notice is that the Egyptian theme of the original game has been updated. The action takes place in what appears to be an observation room, with the Cygnus constellation taking a prominent place on the game screen. Although the spiritual nature of the original theme is no longer present, the majestic universe will still captivate players from the moment they step into this game.

Moving on to the slot’s maths model, we see that the RTP has stayed the same 95%, with high volatility and hit frequency of 23.6%. When it comes to wagering options, slot enthusiasts can spend anywhere from $0.20 to $100 on every spin.

The main playing area consists of six columns with four symbols on each, while the default number of winning ways is 4,096. Winning combinations are formed by landing matching symbols on adjacent reels, with all wins starting from the leftmost reel. Avalanche

Every time a win occurs, the Avalanche feature comes into play. Triggering symbols are removed from the grid, with news ones dropping onto empty positions. The feature uses the Gravity mechanic, with each consecutive Avalanche adding a new row of symbols to the reels, going up to the maximum of eight.

That impacts the number of winning ways, which goes up to 262,144 at full height.

Rising Multipliers

Multipliers that appear on the reels come with a value of two, three, five, or ten. Whenever a multiplier symbol gets to the leftmost column, it will transform into a Wild, adding its value to the win multiplier. This multiplier is later applied to any potential wins, resetting at the end of the round.

If the multiplier ends up on the bottom row during an Avalanche, it gets removed and added to the column on the left. This move can occur only once per cycle.

Free Drops

Getting a bonus symbol to the leftmost column triggers the Free Drops round and awards seven freebies. Any active multiplier will be carried over from the Main Game. If a bonus symbol reaches the leftmost reel during the bonus, three additional spins will be added to the count.

Avalanches are triggered after any win in the bonus round, increasing the number of ways to win and rows. The main difference, compared to the Main Game, is that the win multiplier doesn’t reset between spins, which significantly increases the round’s win potential.

X-iter
