ELK Studios always impresses us with the fun twists they add to slot themes. Nitropolis TV is set in the same world of dangerous gangs fighting for control over the city. However, this game has a very different feel to it. It follows a young bird emulating his reporter uncle, making a TV station out of cardboard on a building’s roof.

Nitropolis TV Visuals & Sounds

When you first launch the game, clear blue skies and towering skyscrapers greet you. You can see all kinds of wires and equipment lying about on the rooftop, which Wally used to make his cardboard studio. This ELK Studios release uses a 6×4 playing area with 4,096 ways to win. Wins begin with the leftmost reel and pay left-to-right on consecutive reels. You must have three matching symbols to form a winning combination.

Re-spins

Every time you win, it causes the reels to spin again. This only applies to the main grid, as the Nitro Reels use a different ruleset.

Nitro Reels

Nitro Reels are present above all six standard reels. They usually appear blocked off but can be activated randomly using stars or through a Vulture feature. An active Nitro Reel contains 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12 identical paying symbols. They remain active until the round ends. Nitro Reels only re-spin if they are part of a winning combination.

Vulture Features

Whenever Wally the Vulture appears on the reels, he triggers a random Vulture feature and then transforms into a Wild. The bonuses are as follows:

• Nitro Upgrade – activates a random number of Nitro Reels or upgrades them to contain more symbols
• Nitro Shift – makes a random number of Nitro Reels swap places
