Pirots 4 marks quite a departure from the previous game. We’ll be trading in cowboy hats for spacesuits, as ELK Studios invites us on a spacefaring adventure. Screw your helmet on tight, because we’ll be blasting past planets and stars in this thrilling video slot.
This review will go over everything you need to know about this game. We’ll walk you through its many features and discuss its volatility and payouts to determine if the Pirots 4 slot is worth your time.
Pirots 4 Visuals & Sounds
You can definitely tell the art team has been waiting to go to outer space for a while. We’ve seen hints of it back in Pirots 2, and now we can see why ELK Studios made us wait. The details on the passing planets and comets in the background image are fantastic. To the right, we see a massive planet ravaged by storms and meteor impacts, with an enormous volcano threatening to blow. Past the countless meteors, you can see a large, red planet and two smaller ones behind it.
Available symbols consist of four gems, with each one matching a bird of the same colour. Gems become slightly larger and put on helmets as their value increases, until they transform into a bird at their maximum value. Special symbols include alien skull Scatters, rocket upgrade icons, black holes, Wilds, coins, space corn, and transform symbols.
We love the music in this ELK Studios slot. It immerses you in the feeling of exploring a vast, uncharted territory. However, the synth tune will occasionally shift, as if to remind you that something alien lurks in the reaches of space. Hats off to whoever made the track, they’ve done a phenomenal job.
Pirots 4 Gameplay & Features
Pirots 4 is all about symbol collection. Each bird that lands will collect gems that match its colour, along with all feature symbols. The more valuable a gem is when it is collected, the higher its payout will be. The bird must land within or next to a cluster of matching gem icons to scoop them up.

Cascading Reels
After a bird collects matching gems, it leaves behind empty positions on the reels. Existing symbols will fall to fill any vacant positions, while new icons appear from the top. This can create back-to-back wins in one spin, which is a big plus in our book.
Upgrades
There are two types of upgrade symbols: silver and gold rockets. Silver upgrade symbols will increase all gems of one colour by one, two, or three steps. Meanwhile, golden rockets upgrade the payout level of all four gems simultaneously. The upgrade only lasts for the current round.
Black Hole
Black Hole symbols absorb all symbols and birds before placing them back on the grid in random positions. It can remove up to three birds when it appears.
Coins
All coins appear with an attached cash prize ranging from 5x to 1,000x. All four birds can collect coins, with the reward being paid out immediately upon collection.
Space Corn
When collected by a bird, the space corn symbol will fill all empty spaces with space corn. This allows the bird to cross empty spaces once to reach another cluster of symbols.
Transform
Collected transform symbols will turn a cluster of gems adjacent to a bird into a matching colour, allowing the bird to collect them. It may also convert a random number of gems into special icons.
Power Clash
Three or more birds landing on adjacent reels will trigger the Power Clash feature. During this bonus, the birds will briefly engage in a fight before flying off in random directions.
Alien Invasion
Occasionally, the space bandit will go from column to column, activating features and triggering space duels. Each duel the bandit wins increases his multiplier, which applies to all symbols he collects from the grid.
Space Station and Portals
When a bird collects symbols connected by space station sections, it will move inside the station. Each section can reveal up to two feature symbols, which will be collected as the bird moves through the space station.
Active space portals can teleport birds if there are collectable icons atop two or more space portals.
Lost in Space
If you completely clear the grid during the Space Corn feature, the Pirots 4 slot surprises you with another feature: Lost in Space. While this bonus is active, the game expands to an 8×8 playing area. Players start with three drops, with each coin or bridge that lands resetting the counter.
Once you run out of drops, the birds move in to start collecting horizontally or vertically adjacent coins. They can also use bridges to cross gaps and reach more collectable coins.
Free Drops
Collect three alien skull Scatters to activate the Free Drops feature. This will award five free spins, with an extra spin being added for every collected Scatter during the bonus. If one of the Scatters is a super bonus symbol, it increases the playing area to an 8×8 grid. Additionally, it guarantees that all upgrade symbols will upgrade all gems.
X-iter
The X-iter feature enables users to pay an additional fee to unlock extra benefits.
- Bonus Hunt quadruples your chance of triggering the Free Drops feature and costs 3x your bet.
- Alien Invasion guarantees the Alien Invasion feature and costs 25x your wager.
- Lost in Space activates the corresponding feature in the next round and costs 50x your stake.
