Everyone knows the story of Aladdin. It’s a tale as old as time, popularized by the timeless Disney classic! That doesn’t mean other people won’t take their own spin the popular tale.

Changing Aladdin to be a cool mage using his magic to fight against the evil sorcerer. You may argue it doesn’t fit the original tale. But one look at Pragmatic Play’s slot, and their awesome graphics sold us on the idea.

The game is played on a five reel board with 20 fixed paylines. And right from the get-go, you can see this is going to be a feast for the eyes! The background image by itself is absolutely wallpaper worthy! On top of that, we have Aladdin and the sorcerer floating on both sides of the reels. Their animations while idling are pretty cool to start with. When they start casting spells, though? That’s when we fell in love.

Unfortunately, symbol designs weren’t nearly as interesting. There are no playing card royals, which we’re immensely thankful for. Instead, the board is populated with crystals of various shapes and colors. The only exceptions to this is the Wild, and the two bonuses: Aladdin and the sorcerer. The gold-plated ruby is the most valuable icon, worth 50x your total stake.

Only one special feature, but what a bonus it is! If Aladdin or the sorcerer appear on the reels without the other one present, you get between three to six Wilds. If both are present, a re-spin round begins, which lasts until Aladdin or the sorcerer wins the battle. Provided Aladdin wins the duel, he can then unlock a second level of re-spins, with an increasing multiplier! It sounds more complicated than it really is, so don’t let it intimidate you!

How to Play Aladdin and the Sorcerer

You play this Pragmatic Play release on a 5×3 board with 20 fixed paylines. To win, collect three or more identical symbols in adjacent positions, starting with the leftmost reel. All wins must follow one of the currently active paylines, or else the cash prize won’t be awarded to players. The top prize you can get from Aladdin and the Sorcerer is 6250x your total stake.

Bonus Features

As we already mentioned, this slot has one big special feature. We’ll break it down into parts to make it easier to explain.

• Aladdin or the Sorcerer Symbols:

When Aladdin appears in reel one or the sorcerer appears on reel five without their rival, they create between three to six Wilds. If they both appear at the same time, they trigger the first re-spin bonus.

• Re-spin bonus:

Aladdin and the sorcerer start casting spells against each other, with the goal of winning the magic duel. So long as this duel lasts, re-spins will continue being played. Both sides have three health bars, and lose one when the enemy symbol lands on reel one or five, respectively. If Aladdin loses the battle, the re-spin ends. But if he wins, punters progress to Re-spins level two.

• Re-spin level two:

You get three re-spins. Wilds from the previous re-spin stay in place until this bonus ends. With each re-spin, the multiplier attached to the Wild increases. On the second re-spin, it’ll be 2x, and on the third it’ll be 3x.
