Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Review

Playtech and Sony Pictures Television joined forces to create Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. It is a Live Trivia Quiz, just like the popular TV show. The concept of the TV show serves as the basis for the Playtech live casino game, so if you have ever watched it, you will play the game with no difficulty. However, Playtech has announced that there will be three games using the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire brand and concept.

The game is not available regularly at Playtech-powered casinos. From 11 June to 11 July, Playtech hosted 75 live trivia quizzes. Since the shows were held during the UEFA EURO 2020, one of the questions groups was football. The other two were general knowledge and general sports.

How Do You Play Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

Players can enter the Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Live Trivia Quiz for free and compete for 1 Million Golden Chips. Each game consists of 15 questions from the before-mentioned fields and has a set prize pool. The prize pools of the games held in June and July 2021 were from £1,000 up to £3,500. All the games took place at the set time and could be entered at selected live casinos.

Players who enter any of the games should answer questions by choosing one of four options, just like in the popular TV show. The time is limited to 16 seconds. Players who answer a question correctly will be able to proceed to the next one.

Iconic Millionaire Lifelines

Just like the original TV show, Playtech Who Wants to Be a Millionaire offers lifelines. However, instead of four lifelines, participants will be able to use only two of them – Ask the Audience and Fifty-Fifty. The lifelines provide participants with an opportunity to get help and answer a question correctly so that they can move on and compete for a share of a prize pool.

New Dates for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Shows

This is not the first time Playtech hosts a Live Trivia Quiz. In 2018, the provider hosted a £1,000 Football Quiz, which was also free to enter. According to the available information, the Live Trivia Quizzes held in June and July 2021 were a prelaunch promotion for the live dealer game show. The first Who Wants to Be a Millionaire game shows will take place in the last quarter of 2021, so you can expect them in October, November, and December at select live casinos powered by Playtech.
