Wild Heist at Peacock Manor Slot Review

Wild Heist at Peacock Manor is played on a five reel board, where each reel is three symbols high. There are a total of seventeen fixed paylines. Fixed, as in, we cannot turn them on and off. This has been an industry trend that we haven’t been thrilled by, we have to admit. Either let us customize paylines as we please, or remove them entirely and make everyone’s lives simpler. As it stands, seventeen winlines are just awkward.

To win, collect three or more identical icons in consecutive positions, starting with the leftmost reel. All winning combinations must follow one of the active paylines, or else the cash prize will not be granted.

There’s quite a few special features for players to enjoy! First off, there are three ‘Mystery’ bonuses, which are triggered at random. These are the Wild Reel spin, the Random Wild spin and the Walking Wild re-spins. Alongside them is the free spins round, accompanied by a planning stage! Theme & Symbols

Most slots would try to get players to sympathize with the robbers. Make them attractive, or obviously poor and in need of the money. But no, our bunch seems to be intentionally designed to be as ugly and shifty as possible. It’s an interesting twist on your expectations, but it doesn’t quite pan out for us. Beyond the fat gentleman and his amazing eyebrows, none of the other characters have any charm. They’re little more than decorations, but they’re not even pretty. They’re just.. there.

We were quite disappointed with the background image. It’s just a blurred out view of the sprawling manor. Credit where it’s due, the game does also show another location. But the inside of the manor is equally blurred out, and you can’t see anything. If it weren’t for the still images of our robbers breaking into the place, we’d be quite disappointed. As it stands, it’s good, but it could be a lot better.

The same thing applies to symbol designs. You have the boring, filler playing card royals, and the four heisters. There’s also re colors of the Wild, and a beautiful golden peacock when said Wilds appear stacked. But there’s more to steal than just a statue. Why Thunderkick’s release didn’t add some glimmering treasure instead of letters and numbers, we’ll never know. But as it stands, we just look at it and think how better it could have been.

Wild Heist at Peacock Manor is played on a 5×4 board with 17 fixed paylines. We’ll repeat what we said in our earlier reviews: either give us full control of paylines, or get rid of them. The popularity of the Ways to Win system proved numerous times they’re a viable alternative. We’d certainly prefer it over having seventeen paylines. It’s just below twenty, which is what most online gamblers are used to. So you’ll think you got a win, see that you didn’t, and wonder why, only to remember. Thanks Thunderkick.

But one thing we couldn’t complain about were the special features. First off, you have three basic ones that can randomly appear on each spin. These keep you on your toes, and keep even normal gameplay engaging. Quite important for a high volatility slot! The developers could have called it a day there, but they went the extra mile with the free spins round. By giving you the card-picking option, they ensured every extra turns bonus would be different. Cross your fingers, and hope for good luck while picking!
