We cover a lot of slots and developers on this website. And for the most part, the most popular casino software providers are newer studios. But that doesn’t mean the old guard doesn’t know how to do things! Today, we’re taking a look at one of the oldest and most respected developers out there!
Say hello to Bally, one of the kings of physical machines! While their popularity has given way to ambitious rivals in recent years, their massive library is now available online. And if that’s not enough, there’s always their latest releases!
About Bally
What we know as Bally started operations all the way back in 1968, under a much different name. You have to admit, Advanced Patent Technology doesn’t quite roll off the tongue in the same way. Still, the company wouldn’t move into the gaming sector until 1979, when they acquired United Coin Machine Company. This was followed up with another name change, and a surge of awesome physical machines.
And we highlight another for a reason. The developers changed their name three times before finally settling on their current name. And while it continued to create fun games and won more awards, it would eventually be bought up by Scientific Games in 2014. The studio still releases slots under their own name, and retains operational independence.
But after multiple land-based casinos and many physical machines, Bally now turns its eyes to the online space. This means many of their classics are finally available for gamblers to enjoy on their desktops and phones, as well. If you’ve never played any of their games, you’re in for a treat!
