We have to admire Play’n Go’s dedication with their rock’n roll slot series. They could have gone after popular, well-known bands. Instead, they chose to highlight relatively unknown performers to their massive audience!
It offers nothing new compared to other grid-based slots

Today, we’ll have a chance to listen to Black Mamba’s rocking tunes while enjoying another grid-based game.
By that description alone, you’ve probably decided if you want to play this release or not.
Black Mamba Slot Review
Black Mamba offers players a five reel board, with cluster wins instead of traditional paylines. It’s not the best looking slot we’ve ever played. The background is good, but not amazing. But it does have its charming moments. We see each performer next to the reels, cycling through a few animations. The transitions between various special features also look super cool!
You’ll be happy to hear the game avoids the temptation of playing card royals. Instead, the base symbols are replaced with guitar strums, microphones, drummer sticks and headphones. Every member of the four man band also has their own icon, which can be mixed and matched freely to form wins. The leader singer is a double multiplier Wild, which makes her incredibly valuable!
Like all other Play’n Go grid-based releases, Black Mamba incorporates cascading reels and progressive multipliers. Each win eliminates some symbols from the board, and creates a Wild in the center of the winning combination. Consecutive wins then increase your multiplier, meaning your prizes become more valuable as time goes on. On top of that, you have Solo bonuses, the Concert special feature, and free spins to look forward to! Black Mamba Gameplay
How to Play Black Mamba
The slot is played on a 5×5 board with cluster pays. A cluster is a group of three or more identical icons, connected either horizontally or vertically. As an extra bonus, a three-of-a-kind win will create a Wild afterwards. You can stake between 0.20 and 100.00 on each spin. It’s a good betting spread, one both casual punters and high rollers will enjoy!
Bonus Features
Lots of special features to talk about, so let’s get started! We won’t be covering cascading reels or multipliers, since we already discussed them earlier.
Solo Bonuses:
Every non-winning spin has a random chance to trigger this special feature. The currently active band member will perform their bonus, and will then be replaced by another. Martina’s special features are only available during Concert or free spin bonuses.
Concert:
You’ll notice a meter in the bottom left corner. The meter charges each time you complete a win with one of the four band members. Fill up the meter with four to six band member wins to trigger Concert! During this special feature, each band member will perform their Solo Bonus. The active band member changes after this bonus is played.
Free Spins:
Triggering the free spins bonus can be quite challenging! To do so, you have to clear the entire grid. Solo special features and Concert help with that task, but even then, there’s no guarantee. The advantage of free spins is that your multiplier carries over from the base game. On top of that, Martina’s solo bonus plays on each spin! The bonus of the currently active band member is also active during free spins, but only plays on non-winning spins.
We had a lot of fun with this Play’n Go release. However, we do feel it’s worth noting that’s because we like their grid-based slots. If you don’t like that format, Black Mamba won’t be your thing. It doesn’t do anything new that might persuade players who aren’t fans to try it out. Well, nothing except the 5000x jackpot it offers!
A great game for people who enjoy grids and cluster pays. If you’re a fan, definitely give it a try! If you want to play for real money, just visit one of the casino sites that we recommend.
